Gallstone formation is the most common disorder of the biliary tract. The process of formation of gallstones is called cholelithiasis in modern medicine.

Gallstones usually occur in conjunction with cholecystitis which means inflammation of the wall of the gall bladder.

Types of GB into three type’s viz. cholesterol stones, bile pigment stones and mixed stones.

Symptoms of GB Stones

  •  Pain which may be constant persist for several days
  •  Pain is usually felt in the lower left side of the abdomen but may occur on the right.
  •  Nausea
  •  Vomiting
  •  Fever
  •  Abdominal tenderness
  •  Constipation or, less commonly, diarrhoea
